Quadrantid swarm maximum

Quadrantids are one of the larger swarmsóin the meteorów that can be admired in the sky. It is not very popular in Poland, as conditions are usually not favorable at this time of yearóIn the atmospheric permitting its viewing. And it’s a shame, because in an hour you can see up to 120 „falling stars”.

The first meteors could be seen as early as December 28, but the maximum rój is expected to reach January 3 in the afternoon hours. It will be available for viewing until January 10.

Rój this was first observed in 1835. Its name comes from the constellation of the Wall Quadrant, który today is not recognized and is part of the constellation Volarius.
